Yoga Retreats for the Modern Monk offer a gateway of support, ideas, and useful practices to integrate your spirituality into all of life. In these retreats, we will have times for group reflection, yoga, teaching on practical yet profound spiritual practice, and space for reflection, journaling, and nature. People of all spiritual journeys and all different places on are welcome.

Nate Bettger is a trained spiritual director and community organizer actively engaged in growing “village experience” in Bend, OR. He has been facilitating small groups of all ages for over 10 years and is passionate about fueling people’s experience of God and community. Nate is dedicated to the study of Celtic Spirituality, Christian mystics, Men’s Rites of Passage, and redesigning ritual for our modern times. He has witnessed and led many transformational gatherings made up of individuals of a diverse rainbow of spiritual paths.

Kat Seltzer, ERYT, is the creative catalyst behind Mandala Yoga Community and serves as director and also a yoga teacher trainer. For the last 12 years, she has cultivated a very dedicated practice of yoga, on the mat and, more importantly, as a way of life, and she invites others to share this in all her classes. She has studied extensively with Shiva Rea and other internationally acclaimed yoga teachers. Her approach to yoga is service-based with the intention of creating safe and transformative space for soul understanding and the discovering and giving one’s gifts.

 They are proud parents of one son, Brendan Arthur.
